A Bit of History
What is now known as Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Atlantic City has a storied past in the AC gaming landscape. That is because it originally opened at Trump Taj Mahal in 1990, and was owned by now President Donald Trump. The property experienced several controversies, including a $10 million anti-money-laundering fine. It ultimately closed when its workers went on strike in 2016. However, it was not long until new parties took interest in the casino.

In 2017, Hard Rock International, which is owned by the Seminole Tribe of Florida, announced plans to buy the casino along with the Morris and Jingoli families. It opened just over one year later, as the renovated and rebranded rock-and-roll themed casino we know today!
Before Hard Rock took over the Trump Taj Mahal property, they actually had plans to build their own $300 million property in Atlantic City, as early as 2010. Various issues with permits resulted in the plans being dropped, and Hard Rock ultimately rebranding the current site instead.
A Rocking Good Time
Hard Rock Atlantic City has a lot to offer its patrons, from state-of-the-art slots and a number of table games in its newly renovated facilities, to comfortable, chic hotel accommodations with a rock-and-roll twist. Whether you are a regular casino visitor or a first-timer, I think you’ll enjoy Hard Rock very much.
